Not sure if these capture the effect totally but, after reading an article in one of the modelling magazines showing how to create puddles, I was dying to have a go at representing pools of water within the hard standing area. After all, Cornwall does get its fair share of rain and can get very misty and dank at times. Still much to do on the scenery but hope to have the major items completed by the end of the month.
That is really good - I've always thought it would be interesting to create evidence of rain on a layout - you probably need to find some other places on the scenery where water would have gathered during rainfall and repeat the effect.
ReplyDeleteWell done. I would never have thought of that ! I have a tiny 'glacial melt' stream being grey/blue paint followed by several layers of PVA plus gloss varnish but some puddles might add some realism.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. I've tried to create one puddle at the side of the road but not sure how evident this will be when finished. I'm thinking of possibly adding some damp patches in some low spots as evidence that a puddle was there... That's if I'm brave enough.
